Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, chat or text with us, call us, request an estimate, or book service, we collect what you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, service address, a description of the problem, and any photos you send.

Information collected when you use the website. Like most websites, ours automatically collects technical information such as your browser and device type, IP address, approximate location based on that IP address, the pages you view, how long you stay, the links you click, and the site that referred you. We collect this with cookies and similar tools described in section 4.

Information from others. If you reach us through a third party such as Google or Thumbtack, we receive the details you shared with that service so we can respond to your request.

We do not collect payment card numbers through this website.

  • Service providers that help us run the business and the website, under agreements that limit how they can use it. These include Housecall Pro (scheduling, chat, text messaging, estimates, and invoicing), Google (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager, and Maps), Microsoft Clarity (website usage analytics), Trustindex (displaying our Google reviews), Cloudflare (website security and performance), and our website host.
  • Financing partners, only if you choose to apply for financing. The lender handles your application under its own privacy policy.
  • Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers, if My Guy is sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure our advertising:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager measure visits and page activity. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt out browser add on.
  • Google Ads measures when an ad leads to a call or form request and may be used to show our ads to people who visited the site. You can manage this in Google’s ad settings.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through pages (clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement) so we can find and fix problems with the site. By default, Clarity masks sensitive text entered into form fields. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features, such as the chat window, may not.

5. Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about your inquiry, appointments, arrival times, estimates, invoices, and service follow ups. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of buying anything from us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing described above exclude text messaging originator opt in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. How long we keep information

We keep customer and job records for as long as we need them to provide service, honor warranties, keep business and tax records, and resolve disputes. Website analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the tools above.

7. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including an encrypted (HTTPS) website and access controls on our business systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
