Taylorsville tripled in the 1980s, from about 17,000 people to more than 52,000, as farmland was sold for subdivisions. About six in ten homes here were built between 1970 and 1990. That makes it one of the most uniform housing stocks in the valley, and a lot of garage doors reaching the same age together.
Original doors, 35 to 55 years in. Many Taylorsville doors are still the ones the builder hung.
