We serve Draper from our Sandy office at Union Square, down 700 East or I-15. Most of Draper is a short run, and same day service is realistic for most calls that come in before early afternoon. SunCrest is a climb, so tell us if you’re up the hill and we’ll give you a real window.
We repair springs, cables, rollers, and openers on every brand, replace single panels matched to the builder’s color, and install new doors when a repair no longer makes sense. The quote comes before the work.
We handle everything from noisy doors to full replacements. Our Draper garage door services include:
Our techs have seen all of it. With years of training and experience, they are qualified, honest, and can guide you to make the best decision for your repair.
The My Guy Brand is a home services brand that is locally owned and operated with over 15 years of taking care of our Utah neighbors.
We're licensed, background checked, and bonded. We back up our work and repairs. So our customers have peace of mind when they choose us.
✔ Upfront, Honest Pricing: The price is quoted before the work starts. No add ons, no surprises.
✔ Same Day Service: Dispatched from our Sandy office, one exit up I-15.
✔ Licensed, Bonded, Background Checked: Utah DOPL Contractor License 13707868-5501 (S220), active through 2027.
✔ We Know Your Door: Draper’s doors split into the valley floor, the east bench, and SunCrest, and snow and wind on the hill change what fails first.
✔ Repair It Forward: A portion of every repair helps a local family in need.
Free service call with any repair ($79 value). $75 off a new opener. $400 off a new garage door. Up to $80 off spring replacement ($35 for one spring, $80 for a pair). One offer per visit, mention it when you book, and 0% financing is available for qualified applicants.
Draper was still a small farming town in 1990, with about 7,000 people. It passed 51,000 by 2020, and roughly two thirds of its homes were built in the 1990s and 2000s. Those two decades are the core of our Draper work.
The valley floor (1990s and 2000s). Central Draper and the neighborhoods off 12300 South and 13490 South, including Ivory communities like Draperville Farms, Galena Grove, and Big Willow Creek Estates, are 20 to 30 years in. These doors are on their second or third spring set, the rollers are worn, and the builder openers are at the end of their life. A system overhaul is usually the right call.
The east bench and Corner Canyon. Larger lots, some with horse properties, and custom homes with heavy wood and carriage style doors. Heavy doors need springs wound for their actual weight and openers rated for it. A past repair that put standard springs on a heavy door is the most common problem we find up here.
SunCrest. SunCrest broke ground in 1999 on the ridge above Draper, and it gets far more snow and cold than the valley. In the record winter of 2023 residents were fighting ice dams and running out of places to put snow. For garage doors that means bottom seals frozen to the slab, openers stripping their gears against a stuck door, and springs near the end of their life letting go on the first hard freeze. A fall tune up is cheap insurance up here.
Point of the Mountain wind. The south end of Draper is known nationally for its wind. Wide doors that bow in a storm need horizontal struts, and we add them in one visit.

What an exceptional experience we had with My Guy Garage Door Repair! One of the springs on our garage suddenly broke and when we called, they were able to send a truck with 2 guys that same afternoon. Austin quickly assessed our entire door, explained thoroughly what was needed and gave an excellent quote. He and his trainee had the repairs done within a short time. They provided amazing customer service with an 8 year warranty included. We highly recommend this company!Posted on Google![]()

We had Waylon come over this morning to help fix our garage door after the spring broke. He did a phenomenal job. I really appreciated that he gave us options and explained the pros and cons of the options. He also evaluated our whole garage door, which I really appreciated so we knew what other things were wrong with it. He also gave us a heads up on things that may need to be fixed in the near future. Waylon was friendly, helpful, and seemed very honest with the cost of the repairs. We would definitely recommend to a friend!Posted on Google![]()

It depends on what failed and on the door. We quote it on site before any work starts, and the service call is free when you go ahead with the repair.
Yes. It’s a longer drive from our Sandy office, so call early and we’ll give you a real arrival window. In winter, let us know about road conditions on your street.
Stop pressing the opener button, which can strip its gears. Pull the red release cord and free the bottom seal with warm water or a plastic scraper. If it still won’t move, call us.
Yes. A balanced door should stay put halfway up. If it falls or feels heavy, the springs are worn or undersized, and the opener is doing work it wasn’t built for.
